Localization
Process Simulator 2019 is available in English, German, Portuguese and Spanish.
What's new in Process Simulator 2019 SP1 and 2?
Import / Export via Microsoft Excel
Model information is exportable to Excel not only to view it all in one place but also to modify it and import it back into Process Simulator. Model building and management is easier than ever before.
After exporting to Excel, the model elements will be separated and organized into individual sheets in the workbook. To view the different sheets, select the desired tab at the bottom of the workbook.
What's new in Process Simulator 2019 SP1 and 2?
Dockable Windows
All element property windows and tables habe been redesigned and have been made dockable within the Visio application workspace. This allows you to keep them open and out of the way so your diagram view space will be clear for quicker modeling changes.
What's new in Process Simulator 2019 SP1 and 2?
Referenced Hierarchical Models
Submodels now have the ability to be referenced in addition to their current capability of unique instances. This means that activities linking to the same submodel at different points in your diagram will send their entities to that submodel (and not just unique copies of the submodel).
What's new in Process Simulator 2019 SP1 and 2?
Global Elements Across Pages
In support of the referenced submodels, all model elements (e.g. activities, resources, variables, attributes, macros, etc.) will be globally accessible across pages (no more duplicating model elements on each page). This also allows you to utilize multiple pages to build your model without the use of the submodel construct.
What's new in Process Simulator 2019 SP1 and 2?
Read/Write Data to Text Files
Write out data from your model to a text or CSV file for model troubleshooting or verification. You can also use it to log custom statistics for import and analysis in Excel or another data analysis tool.
What's new in Process Simulator 2019 SP1 and 2?
Find and Replace
Process Simulator now has its own find and replace capability, separate from Visio, and will search across its elements and objects only. It even automatically brings the shape into view and opens the associated property or field where the searched text is found.
What's new in Process Simulator 2019 SP1 and 2?
Upgrade Existing Models
You can convert existing models to its new format! This is done by simply clicking the Convert button in the Process Simulator 2019 ribbon. During this process a backup of your original model is automatically saved for you (with a .psbkp extension). However, it is highly recommended that you save a copy of your original models prior to taking them through the upgrade process.

What's new in Process Simulator 2016 SP1?
Determine the bound unit of a resource
In addition to determining which resource an entity has bonded with, you can now also determine the specific entity of that resource. Use the new OwnedResourceUnit () - function to determine the unit of a resource that has an entity bond. Take advantage of this new feature. By collecting custom resource statistics at the level of each unit for example.
What's new in Process Simulator 2016 SP1?
Access to resource utilization at the simulation time
You can now access your resources during simulation at any time. Using the newly modified PercentUtil () -function, you can determine the utilization of individual units of a resource or the summary of all units of a resource type. In this way, you can dynamically make decisions or write custom statistics into an Excel file based on the current resource utilization.
What's new in Process Simulator 2016 SP1?
Initialize routing percentages from external data
Percentage-based routing now has the flexibility to be initialized by external data stored in Excel. This is done by using arrays. You now have the option to fine-tune your model or to perform what-if analyzes in Excel without first having to change the model. Use this option, which was previously available only through macros and Scenario Manager, simply by typing the array instead of the percentage in the property dialog of your routing.
What's new in Process Simulator 2016 SP1?
Access to simulation results via program code
You can now access the simulation results via a new, simplified API (application programming interface) of the Output Viewer via program code. You can retrieve the results data for each individual replication, or group, and group the result data before retrieving (as in the Output Viewer). Use your simulation results for analysis outside the Output Viewer by loading the data to Excel or to another database.
What's new in Process Simulator 2016 SP1?
Improvements
- When exporting array data at the end of a simulation, the replication number is no longer written to the name of the Excel spreadsheet when ""Export after final replication only"" is selected.
- Minitab Version 17.3 is now supported

Stat::Fit
Process Simulator now includes Stat::Fit - a comprehensive yet user-friendly statistics program. Stat::Fit retrieves the raw data from spreadsheets, text files, or manual inputs and converts the data into the appropriate random distribution for input into Process Simulator. Stat :: Fit automatically determines appropriate distribution functions, compares distribution functions, and provides an absolute measure of compliance of the distribution functions with the underlying data.
